This series of three hand-carved linocut prints, which are sold together and measure 15×22 inches each, were created as part of a public art project with the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture. They were used as inspiration for a three-panel mural in the city of La Puente that is part of the Civic Arts Collection and which lives at Bassett Park.
The series highlights three scenes in the history of La Puente: the Indigenous Tongva settlement of Awigna that predates colonization, a scene from contemporary La Puente, and a scene depicting the area’s agricultural history as a center of avocado, citrus, and walnut production. All prints are on archival cotton-rag paper and printed with oil-based ink.
